Welcome to CCHE!
Classical Christian Home Educators (CCHE) is a support group for home educators in California endeavoring to teach a classical Christian education. CCHE began in June of 2000 meeting once a month with several parents to discuss curriculum choices and teaching ideas to nurture an understanding and implementation of classical education.
Now in our eighth year, we meet online for our monthly support group meeting, our bi-weekly Great Books discussion group, and we meet locally in Roseville, California for our book club (the "Booklings") for veteran homeschool moms. We also hold periodic Introduction to Classical Christian Education workshops.
For the local students, we meet regularly for our Reader's Theater groups (one group for our Grammar stage children and the other group for our Logic and Rhetoric stage students) and our GBT (Great Books Tutorial) discussion group for those students enrolled in Great Book classes.
We take bi-annual trips to the world-renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. Our pride and joy is our Annual CCHE Seminar featuring nationally-known classical education speakers which we present each year.
As our name implies, we are a Christian organization and we love the Lord our God with all our hearts, and with all our souls, and with all our minds, and with all our strength (Mark 12:30).
